At Workhorse Bikes, we don't just sell wheels — we build them, by hand, in our own workshop. Every wheel is laced, tensioned and trued individually by our mechanics using the finest hubs and rims available, so you get a wheelset that's stronger, truer and more reliable than anything off a factory production line.

Bitex Hubs — A Century of Precision Engineering

Bitex has been manufacturing hubs in Taiwan since 1923 (originally as Valisum), and that century of experience shows in every detail. Their hubs combine high-quality alloy axles and freehub bodies for a genuinely lightweight build without compromising strength. Inside, you'll find ABEC5 TPI bearings — among the best available — for a smooth, fast-rolling ride that keeps performing over years of use. Bitex's proprietary 6-pawl engagement system, with two groups of three pawls each secured by both a spring clip and a coil spring, delivers up to 56 points of engagement: rapid pick-up, quiet freewheeling and exceptional long-term durability.

Halo Vapour 35 — British-Designed, Trail-Proven Rims

Halo Wheels was founded in 2000 on a simple idea: make components that help riders progress, at a price that doesn't put them out of reach. The Vapour 35 carries that philosophy through into a rim built for real trail use — a heat-treated aluminium rim with sleeve-jointed (rather than welded) construction for extra strength at the joint, reinforced eyelets to protect against spoke pull-through, and a tubeless-ready profile so you can set up without extra parts or workarounds. The result is a wheel that stays stiff and true through hard cornering and repeated impacts, developed with input from World Championship-winning riders.
